Terms of Use

Last updated: [Month DD, YYYY]

These terms govern your use of Waqfa. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Accepting these terms

By installing or using Waqfa, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Waqfa is published by Noor Muslim Apps[, legal entity name] (“we”, “us”).

Your licence to use Waqfa

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Waqfa on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial remembrance and worship. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source of the app except where the law expressly permits.

Religious content

Waqfa’s adhkar, Qur’anic verses, transliterations, translations, and citations are provided to support your daily remembrance. We take authenticity seriously: content is drawn from recognised sources and reviewed for accuracy. Even so, translations and selections are aids, not a substitute for the Arabic text or for guidance from qualified scholars. If you rely on a specific wording or ruling, please verify it with a trusted authority. If you spot an error, tell us and we will review it.

Waqfa Lens and AI features

Waqfa Lens uses automated recognition to read printed or handwritten Arabic and suggest adhkar to add to your routine. AI can make mistakes — it may misread text or miscount repetitions. Always check what Waqfa Lens suggests before relying on it, and treat it as a convenience, not an authoritative source.

Prayer times

Prayer times are calculated estimates based on your location and the calculation settings you choose. They can differ from your local mosque or authority. Please verify times locally for your worship; we are not responsible for reliance on calculated times.

Purchases and subscriptions

Waqfa is free to download, with optional paid upgrades. Any purchase is processed and billed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play under their terms. Subscriptions, if offered, renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel them in your store account settings. Refunds are handled according to the relevant store’s policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app — including by interfering with its operation, attempting to access it in unauthorised ways, or using it to violate any law. The Waqfa pause is a gentle reminder, not a security or parental-control guarantee, and should not be relied on as one.

Intellectual property

The Waqfa name, the app’s design, and its original content are owned by Noor Muslim Apps and protected by applicable laws. Scripture and traditional texts are not claimed as ours; our rights cover the app and its original presentation.

Disclaimers

Waqfa is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is complete or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noor Muslim Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Waqfa.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these terms, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use Waqfa after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your governing jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
